A man whose dog bit a police officer on the testicles has been fined £270. Ridwan Islam's three-year-old Caucasian Shepherd chewed on PC Andy Brand's groin on June 11, 2022.
In an agreed written narration handed to a sheriff, the Crown states: "Without prompt or warning, the dog who Islam was in control of and holding on to its lead at the time lashed out. The dog lunged at PC Brand biting him on the groin causing two cuts." He was given a tetanus injection and antibiotics. Islam pled guilty to being the owner of a dog which was dangerously out of control.
