The 22-year-old was initially charged with seven offences, including assaulting two police officers, after falling asleep in Moore Park following a night out at the Ivy nightclub. All the charges were later dismissed in court.
"He's got more than just having been assaulted in the usual way. He's been Tasered, he's been pepper sprayed, he's been handcuffed – all of those things that really add up to dollars." Mick Fuller defended the actions of the officers involved in the incident and said he felt "sympathetic" for them having to deal with "drunken idiots".
