A 15-year-old passenger has died in hospital following a horrific multi-vehicle crash near the South Australia-Victoria border on Sunday. The girl died on Monday night and is the second child of a Mount Gambier family to die in the three-car smash on Riddoch Hwy in Nangwarry.

Boy dies, several people injured in horrific crash on SA highway. The girl’s sibling, a five-year-old boy, died at the scene. Both were the children of a highly respected local chef, Chris Eykelenburg, and his wife Paula who were in a Toyota with their two other children at the time of the crash on Sunday afternoon. South Australia Police said the Mount Gambier family suddenly braked when a black Holden sedan in front of them struck an emu.
