Incidents unfolded in rural Juniata County Saturday.
Gov. Josh Shapiro says the state trooper shot in Juniata County is in critical, but stable condition. Another trooper was killed in a subsequent shoot-out with the subject.The second of two Pennsylvania State Troopers shot in a series of deadly Juniata County incidents Saturday is said to be in “critical but stable condition” according to Gov. Josh Shapiro’s office.
Shapiro, who was at the hospital where that trooper is being treated, issued the following statement about Saturday’s incidents in Mifflintown Borough and Walker Township that left one trooper and the suspect gunman who fired on police in both incidents dead.This afternoon, a Pa. State Police trooper was killed in the line of duty in Juniata County. Another trooper was shot and is now stable but in critical condition.
