A Queensland police officer has been shot in the leg by another officer during a training exercise.
Police on Thursday confirmed a male sergeant suffered a gunshot wound to his calf after another officer accidentally discharged their gun during routine firearm training at a Childers training facility about 10am.“Support is being provided to both officers and their colleagues and families,” police said in a statement.
“The North Coast Region will investigate the incident and Workplace Health and Safety Queensland have been advised.”
