New South Wales Flood Recovery and Emergency Services Minister Steph Cooke says it is a “significant day in the 67 year history of the State Emergency Services”.
It comes after Premier Dominic Perrottet said the SES will receive a record $132 million to boost infrastructure, staffing, and resources.
“It’s all about assisting our volunteers who do a magnificent job in helping to keep our community safe, to save lives and to protect property,” she said. “With this funding, we will be able to provide them ammunition that they need to help keep our community safe in the face of future natural disasters.”
