The victim reported to officers that she only remembered being held down on a bed with multiple men pouring cognac down her throat. 9News
A video of the assault re-appeared on the social media site in June, giving officers enough information to execute search warrants and begin arresting suspects.
The seven men all aged from 19 to 25-years-old. Providence Police department said while seven men have been apprehended, officers are still searching for an eighth man. In a handout to media, police identified the men as Carlos Chacon, Erving Keith Colon, Jose Vargas, Luis Carbrera, Luis Luna, Malcolm Baptista and Richard Tarell Chester."On December 20, 2019, The Providence Police Department became aware that earlier in the night a despicable, degrading, reprehensible sexual assault crime had been committed in Providence upon a 16-year-old girl," Colonel Hugh Clements of the Providence Police Department said.
