The operator of a western Sydney aged care home at the centre of a major outbreak earlier this year is relieved after an elderly resident who tested positive later tested negative for COVID-19.

All passengers who were on the same flight as the infected NSW resident returning from Victoria in Sydney are in hotel quarantine.NSW Health on Tuesday also said an additional case of a student at Blue Mountains Grammar school had been confirmed. The case will be included in Wednesday's numbers.
