Ha. Ha. Ha. When Andrew Vasquez was called up, he wore No. 67, only because No. 66 already belonged to Jarlín García. He was the 66th player used by the Giants, a franchise record. Ford Proctor, the 65th player used, was given No. 65. The previous high — and now all of the top three in franchise history — also came under Zaidi, so maybe we should have known better. The new roster rules— restrictions on options, longer minimum IL stays for pitchers, etc.
