Minns government pledge $2.2 billion in housing and infrastructure in state budgetA more than $2 billion housing package is the centrepiece of the NSW budget, unveiled by the state’s Treasurer, Daniel Mookhey. The New South Wales government is taking its first steps towards budget repair and forecasting a $4 billion improvement in the budget bottom line over the next four years. There were no new measures to cost of living but there are extensions of promises the Minns government has made around toll relief and energy relief. The budget announced a new housing fund, which is worth $2.2 billion and includes 1.5 billion for infrastructure and a $300 million injection into accelerating the construction of new homes.
