's Norfolk Island have been warned to take shelter immediately as tropical cyclone Gabrielle hurtles towards it.
"Conditions will deteriorate further through the day as the centre of the cyclone approaches this evening," it said.BoM is also warning of "abnormally high tides, damaging surf and heavy rain"."As the cyclone centre passes this evening, destructive winds may ease for a short period of time as the eye of the system passes over," it said.
