A teenager who died after a crash in Melbourne's outer south-east was travelling in a car believed to have been stolen in an aggravated burglary, police have said.

The Cranbourne East teen was the front seat passenger of a silver Audi which collided with a Subaru station wagon, before rolling and hitting trees and a power pole. A 16-year-old Pakenham boy who was behind the wheel of the Audi, which reportedly was seen being driven"erratically", was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.A 15-year-old boy, also from Pakenham, was in a rear passenger seat and taken to hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries.
