Thousands of festival-goers have slammed Splendour in the Grass organisers after they were forced to wait for hours before the Friday performances were called off due to bad weather.
Thousands of punters arrived in the Byron Shire for the festival but were left in limbo as organisers waited until 1:45pm on Friday to cancel all performances due to bad weather.
“They probably should have done it better in terms of getting information to people,” Sky News Australia producer and festival attendee Luke O’Brien said. Revellers complained the festival organisers did not communicate well enough about the cancellations. The show will go on rain, hail or shine".
