The newly appointed chair of Australia's Climate Change Authority (CCA) and former NSW Liberal politician Matt Kean is “treacherous” and “should have joined the Labor Party in the start”, Nationals MP Barnaby Joyce has claimed.

Mr Kean was appointed the chair of Australia's Climate Change Authority on Monday morning and quickly spoke out against nuclear energy. The shadow minister for veterans’ affairs continued to issue a warning about"swindle merchants" like the new ACC chair. “Something else eventuated and of course, you know, being the ‘authentic guy’ he is he just changed his mind,” he said.
"So that's effectively a nuclear power plant in something the size of a shipping container. Right now, the prototype of that is being developed, but we're not expecting that to be developed until the mid-2030s.
