The six people, including two women and four men aged between their 40s to 70s, visited locations on Elizabeth Street, Clarence Street, Park Street and Martin Place 10 days before becoming symptomatic.
"NSW Health environmental health officers have worked with the City of Sydney to inspect and sample 124 high priority cooling towers in the area," NSW Health said in a statement.These towers have undergone tests to determine if they are the potential source of the infections.Health authorities are investigating the source of the Legionnaire's disease cases in Sydney.
It can lead to severe chest infections such as pneumonia and usually requires antibiotic treatment in hospital.
