Snowy Hydro chief executive Paul Broad has resigned following revelations the project is $2.2 billion over budget.
Mr Broad’s sudden departure comes at the halfway point of construction, which is now 18 months behind schedule.
Future Generation – the main contractor of Snowy Hydro – is now in negotiations with the federal government over a revised budget and timeline.
