The SNP have appealed to Labour and Liberal Democrat supporters to lend them votes in Tory-held seats at the next General Election to 'lock the Tories out of Scotland'
The SNP have appealed to Labour and Liberal Democrat supporters to lend them votes in Tory-held seats at the next General Election to "lock the Tories out of Scotland". The SNP came second in each of the Scottish seats which the Conservatives won in 2019 and believes it can wipe the Tories out of Scotland if enough Labour and Lib Dem supporters get behind them.
In Ross' seat, if just 11 per cent of Labour and Lib Dem voters had lent their votes to the SNP in 2019, he would have lost. Only 9.8 per cent of Labour and Liberal Democrat votes were needed for the SNP to win in Bowie's seat , while 23 per cent was needed in Jack's seat. "The SNP is the main competitor in every Tory-held seat, and the incumbent in every target seat - so a vote for the Labour Party or the Liberal Democrats is a wasted vote that risks letting the Tories in the back door, just like it did last time.
