Sky News contributor Peter Switzer says CBD economies have been badly affected by the coronavirus pandemic but suburban economies are doing really well.

Mr Switzer said you could not ignore Victoria comprised one-quarter of the Australian economy and the lockdown in the state would likely reduce the extent of Australia's economic recovery. "The very good recovery is certainly going to be affected," he said. "Even though some parts of the economy aren't going to do well, cafes who are getting Saturday and Sunday levels of trading on weekdays now because people are working from home will be a surprise on the total recovery.
