father accused of killing his son and son's girlfriend has pleaded guilty to two counts of murder.
Pawel Klosowski was accused of the murder of his son Lukasz and his girlfriend Chelsea Ireland at his Mt McIntyre property last month. Klosowski, 46, was meant to face court in December, but in a brief hearing yesterday he pleaded guilty to two counts of murder. The 19-year-old couple were allegedly shot dead on the property, located between Millicent and Penola.Ms Ireland was studying mechanical engineering, while Lukasz was an aspiring journalist.
Alexandra Rutter, a friend of the couple, told 9News she was pleased that with a guilty plea the two devastated families would face a shorter court process.

Push for borders to be re-opened by Christmas | Sky News AustraliaDespite widespread support for the status quo, new polling has indicated Queenslanders and South Australians want their borders to be open by Christmas, according to Sky News host Andrew Clennell.\n \n“Here is some Newgate polling I'm aware the Prime Minister's office is aware of which shows that in Queensland 55 per cent of citizens want the borders open before Christmas, 51 per cent of South Australians want it open by that date,” according to Mr Clennell.\n \n“According to the data, sixty-three per cent nationally want the borders opened by then - up five points from last week.”\n \nMr Clennell said the polling also shows the public is supportive for the strict border control to be relaxed in the case of medical and exemptions, like in the case of Sarah Caisip.\n \nMs Caisip, who lives in Canberra, recently flew home to Queensland in a bid to visit her dying father. \n \nShe was placed in hotel quarantine, despite the ACT not recording community transmission of COVID-19 for more than two months. \n \nOn Thursday Ms Caisip was refused an exemption from quarantine to attend her father's funeral, a move that was widely criticised.\n
