A man has been charged after allegedly repeatedly bashing a rideshare driver in Sydney's south-west and attempting to steal his mobile phone.
The 25-year-old was being dropped off at a home on Dutton Street in Yagoona at around 12.15am today when he punched the driver and demanded his phone. The rideshare driver pulled over and both men got out, then the passenger allegedly pushed the 48-year-old to the ground and continued to punch him.
