Moss Bank in Hesketh Bank, Church Road in Tarleton, Alma Hill in Upholland and Moss Delph Lane in Aughton were targeted by police
Police have caught dozens of speeding motorists in a crackdown on a several notorious Lancashire roads.
This involves police working together with local communities at sites where people are worried about road safety. A total of 63 motorists were clocked speeding, with nearly half on Alma Hill.Those caught breaking the speed limit will be sent a warning letter and officers say they hope this action 'will change their behaviours'. They are also seeking suggestions for other speed check locations in the future.
"Those who are found to be speeding when they pass through our check point, are issued with a warning letter in the hope that they will change their behaviours. "Operation Centurion is our response to tackling all types of anti-social behaviour, including the anti-social use of vehicles. Do you have concerns about speeding on the roads where you live?
