The VCAA says a production error that allowed students to access sample exam questions before sitting the VCE did not affect the integrity of the exam.
The VCAA says a production blunder which made sample exam questions accessible on its website did not disadvantage any students.
However, users on web forum Reddit discovered that some cover pages for exams on the site also included hidden questions written in transparent text. "With legal studies, it's very easy to figure out what kind of questions are going to be on the case study, which I think is super unfair," Millie told ABC Radio Melbourne.VCAA chief executive Kylie White told ABC Radio Melbourne that similar exam questions could have appeared in the hidden text, but said they were not identical to actual exam questions.
Ms White maintained that questions were "reliably similar" on VCE exams, but that the exam had retained its integrity."The VCE examinations haven't been compromised and all students can be very confident about completing their exams."Shadow education minister Jess Wilson said the government had put Victorian students at a disadvantage once again.
An independent review into VCAA was triggered by mistakes in 2023 VCE exams, but Ms Wilson said the review had failed to fix systemic issues at the authority.
