Sweden “ripped the band aid off” with coronavirus and now the entire country is getting on with life after recording a tiny proportion of positive tests indicating “they’ve hit herd immunity,” according to Sky News host James Morrow.
The proportion of positive tests of the entire test load now sits at 1.3 per cent, significantly lower than the country’s previous rate of 19 per cent.
Mr Morrow said in terms of deaths per million people, Sweden continues to drop “further down the league tables below all these other nations which sneered at Sweden”. “It looks like they ripped the band aid off and they’re getting on with life,” he said. “In fact, their strategy seems to be paying more and more dividends.” Image: AP
