Breaking: Two brothers from Sydney have become the latest Australians confirmed dead following the volcanic eruption on New Zealand's White Island this week.
The first Australians identified among the dead on Wednesday were Julie Richards, 47, and her 20-year-old daughter Jessica from Queensland.Credit:The Richards' family friend John Mickel described the mother and daughter as adventurers who loved the outdoors. "The family are united in grief," Mr Mickel said.
"We enjoyed the first five days of our trip and have many memories that will stay with us forever," they said.
