There are renewed fears of gang violence in the area after gunfire rang out just before 10pm, with bullets hitting a house and parked car in Leppington.Camden police are investigating the incident.Police believe the attack was targeted. It was justDetective Chief Superintendent Darren Bennett said it "has all the hallmarks of a tit-for-tat shooting".
"We know that's a person of interest from previous locations where shootings have taken place," he said.Neighbours have been left shocked as the suburban street is home to families and there is a preschool on the corner."Being in a neighbourhood with two kids and these things happen it's literally terrifying," a resident told 9News.
"Bit scared because it's a bit unnerving that it has happened twice to the same house in such a short time," another resident said.The shooting sparked fears of further gang violence in Sydney Task Force Erebus, set up by NSW Police to tackle gang violence in Sydney, will investigate the scene following a busy day yesterday.Continue reading
