Long Beach residents have been urged to make the decision to leave or stay in the coming hours – and if they are going, to be out before 9am on Thursday and 'plan to be gone for a week'
The warning from the Rural Fire Service was released at 4.17pm for the fire, which has continued to burn for weeks and is now 226,000 hectares in size.

Not everyone has been helpful, with police on the South Coast confirming that roughly 100 litres of fuel was siphoned from a volunteer fire brigade vehicle in Batemans Bay this morning.
