The general sale of Sydney tickets for the hugely anticipated Taylor Swift concerts is now sold out, with the Melbourne shows not far behind.Around four million people attempted to purchase tickets on Wednesday during the Frontier Touring presale and it is believed around 800,000 people were in the online lounge to buy tickets ahead of the sale.On Wednesday, Frontier Touring advised fans that within an hour of the general sale opening the Saturday show on February 24 was nearly sold out.
Ticketek confirmed on Wednesday that around 4 million people attempted to buy tickets during the Frontier Touring Presale. "We have seen a whopping 656 per cent increase in bookings to Melbourne and Sydney following the ticket release on Wednesday," they said. Some fans in Sydney and Melbourne even resorted to queuing up outside Ticketek offices, in a return to the old-school method of buying paper tickets.
