A family in Sydney's south have been left fuming after police issued a fine for leaving their truck window open, even though it was parked at home. 9News
Police issued the fine despite Mr Amey being just metres away from his car in the garden.
Despite the truck being in front of the family home and in view of the owner at all times, police issued Ms Amey's husband a $112 fine for leaving it "unsecured"., if a driver is more than three metres from the car and no one is inside, all windows must be secured, and all doors locked.In this instance, the window was lower than two centimetres and Mr Amey was more than three metres away, even though the doors were locked.In 2019, nine.com.
