Partners Group’s Ravi Jeyaraj is set to join John Wylie’s Tanarra Capital as head of private equity.

It is understood Jeyaraj has resigned from Partners Group, where ran the firm’s Australian direct PE investing unit, to lead and try to grow Tanarra’s private equity business.Jeyaraj spent the past 3½ years at Partners Group, and was formerly a partner at Navis Capital.

He’s expected to be heavily involved in Tanarra’s quest to raise a big new private equity fund in 2023.The firm invests across listed equities, private equity, private credit and venture capital. Its private equity investments include residential care software company Health Metrics and dairy group Barambah Organics.

Tanarra’s Maja Sliwinski, who was overseeing Tanarra’s PE strategy, will remain on Tanarra’s leadership team. Jeyaraj’s move marks another shift in Australia’s PE landscape, with a bunch of the offshore-based firms losing senior dealmakers and poaching from rivals for their replacements.
