Tasmania has recorded 702 cases of COVID-19, bringing the state's total number of active cases to 2,244 since reopening its borders last month.Three people with COVID are in hospital, one person specifically for COVID complications, but none are receiving intensive care.
Eleven aged care homes across the state were placed into lockdown due to positive cases yesterday, with one facility in Snug, south of Hobart, having eight cases across its staff and residents.Two passengers on board the Coral Discoverer cruise ship have also tested positive for COVID. The ship has since been brought into port in Hobart, and its 90 passengers are monitoring for symptoms.
