after an out-of-court agreement was signed with the RSPCA which included the immediate closure of the facility and the surrender of all 239 dogs. "Most of them had already passed away — stillborns or puppies that had died in the nursery overnight. You'd come into work and there'd be another dead dog," he said.
"I didn't like it … I thought it was weird that they were putting it in the freezer, I did. "You'd find bitches with pups in the back kennels, and for me that wasn't on. You'd say, 'Oh, is that a pup?' and you'd poke your head in and, yep, there'd be two or three pups," he said.He also said the puppies were kept in small travel crates from 4pm to 7am every day. When he asked questions about this he was told it was "crate training".
