Tasmanian Supreme Court judge Gregory Geason has faced further questions about the alleged assault of a woman — an allegation he denies — as a court hearing continues.
Justice Gregory Geason has been questioned in court about why he took photographs of the house of a woman he allegedly assaulted.
He is appearing at a hearing in the Hobart Magistrates Court after pleading not guilty to assault and emotional abuse or intimidation. "I intended only to ask her to stop, that she was moving towards me and in the course of her movement and my gesturing, we connected. Justice Geason told the court these searches — some of which he denied making himself — were not an admission of violence or aggression, but his attempt for "self-improvement in the face of particular allegations".Justice Geason was served with a restraining order after the woman went to police after the alleged assault.She relocated interstate, and the court earlier heard evidence that Justice Geason travelled to the city she was living twice in the space of several days.
