A high school in regional NSW that teachers once feared working at has gone through an incredible transformation.
"We had more than our fair share of negative behaviours that were occurring at the school on a consistent basis. And again that could be an excuse not to learn." Researcher Drew Miller signed up and since 2020 has partnered with the school to improve its teaching practices. The federal government has committed $5 million to train 1,600 teachers and the Paul Ramsey Foundation has committed $4.3 million so another 25 disadvantaged schools can partner with the university.
