Homicide detectives have charged an 18-year-old man as part of their investigation into the fatal shooting of another teenager in Sydney's west last weekend. 9News
Detectives are continuing to investigate in the local area and are speaking with Mr Elomar's family, friends and associates.
Mr Elomar, who was not known to police, is a relative of notorious ISIS terrorist Mohamed Elomar, who was killed fighting in Syria. Investigators are appealing to the community for any information that may be able to assist with their inquiries. They are also seeking any dashcam vision from vehicles travelling in the area during the evening on Saturday and the early hours of Sunday.Police are urging anyone with information that may assist Strike Force Cero investigators to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
