The teenager at the centre of a "love triangle" that sparked a series of events ending in the alleged murder of Perth schoolboy Cassius Turvey has told a court she saw a boy "covered in blood" in the back of a car being driven by one of the teenager's alleged killers.
State prosecutor Ben Stanwix SC said the relationship with Ms Gilmore's brother led to friction with another boy, who had dated the same girl in the days before. That friction, the court heard, led to a series of "petty grievances", including the smashing of the windows of Mr Brearley's car, that ended with the death of Cassius Turvey. The schoolboy was hit over the head with a metal pole after being chased into bushland in the eastern Perth suburb of Middle Swan.
The teenage girl gave her evidence via video link from another location and told the court about messages on social media on October 9, 2022, that her former boyfriend wanted to fight Ms Gilmore's brother.
