A teenage boy remains in a critical condition in hospital after an allegedly stolen car crashed near Parliament House and The Lodge in the ACT. A white Toyota Camry crashed into a concrete barrier on Adelaide Ave in Canberra about 5am on Wednesday, ending upside down in the middle of the road. Community members called the crash into ACT Police. “ quite clearly had been involved in a very significant motor vehicle accident,” Acting Inspector Mark Richardson said.
” Richardson could not confirm if the boy in hospital was involved in any of the previous incidents, and could not confirm whether he was behind the wheel of the car when it crashed. He did confirm the boy was unlicensed. Police are in touch with hospitals “to see if anyone else has presented this morning with injuries or presents over the coming days”, Richardson said. Speed likely a factor Police called off a pursuit of the vehicle on one occasion due to speeds reached, Richardson said.
