A 19-year-old boy has tragically died after his motorbike collided with another vehicle on the Sunshine Coast.
Police say the boy was from Buderim on the Sunshine Coast.
"Initial investigations indicate at 8am, a car and motorbike collided at the intersection of Diddillibah Road and Nambour Connection Road in Woombye," Queensland Police confirmed in a statement. "The motorbike rider, a 19-year-old Buderim man, sustained critical injuries and died at the scene." She was the only person in her car when the incident struck.
"The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 79-year-old Woombye woman, was not physically injured," the statement continued. The Forensic Crash Unit is also investigating the incident.
