Two of three teenagers riding a motorised scooter were seriously injured when they crashed into a car at an intersection in Sydney’s west. Video of the crash on the corner of Glossop St and Forrester Rd in St Marys shows the teens being flung into the air as the Honda scooter smashes into the side of a white Toyota hatchback. Witnesses say the youths ran a red light moments before the collision about 1.40pm on September 16.
Another teenager, also injured, stumbles over to the accompanying scooter and rides off, leaving two of his injured friends behind. NSW Police said a teen and passenger were treated at the scene by paramedics before both were taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious conditions. The Toyota driver was uninjured. The Crash Investigation Unit are looking into incident. Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers.
