Wray said terror groups had sought to use “AI to circumvent safeguards built into some of the AI infrastructure” to “do searches for, you know, how to build a bomb … or ways to obfuscate their searches for how to build the bomb”. McCallum said he believed that some of the security risks relating to artificial intelligence would be discussed at Rishi Sunak’s global AI summit at the beginning of November, and that the industry was sensitive to the topic.
