Queensland Premier Steven Miles has again forgotten the name of a Labor Party candidate despite campaigning in their electorate ahead of the October 26 election.
Qld election: Steven Miles fails to recall name of Labor's Kawana candidate, days after forgetting who party's Mirani pick is
Mr Miles appeared in the LNP-held seat of Kawana on the Sunshine Coast on Friday morning alongside Health Minister Shannon Fentiman for a health announcement. "I'll be campaigning on Sunshine Coast seats from now all day, so stay tuned," the Premier said, as he stood adjacent to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
Asked again why the candidate was a no-show, Mr Miles offered up:"This is a health announcement that we are locating here at the hospital but we'll be campaigning in Sunshine Coast seats, rest assured".He then shuffled the pieces of paper in front of him and also appeared to seek the help of Ms Fentiman, who was standing to his side, without much success.
