We’ve just had a statement sent through from a representative from the Adelaide Oval.
“This individual was working in the media centre in the western stand. He has not attended the ground today and neither have his close contacts. We are undertaking a clean of the relevant media area in-line with our protocols.This below quote from Andrew Wu, in Adelaide, a few minutes before the update was sent through.The England skipper has recovered from being hit in the groin while batting this morning.
Meanwhile, we have an update on Joe Root from the England camp: “He’s coming on to field after returning from a scan at the local hospital. He is fit to resume playing.”Perhaps that was the plan all along - get a 300-run lead and then accelerate? There’s been a clear change in tempo from the Australians here.
