The Tasmanian government has unveiled a new voucher scheme for residents as part of a suite of measures to support the tourism industry amid the Spirit of Tasmania debacle.

Picture: Chris Kidd The government has also revealed it will pump $5 million into a Spirit Preparedness Fund, to help hospitality and tourism businesses ahead of two new vessels arriving.

Picture: Spirit of Tasmania The government said the"comprehensive tourism and hospitality package" followed on from delays to the operation of two new Finland-built Spirit of Tasmania vessels, which are set to arrive across the end of the year and the second half of 2025.
