For this epic wedding, the couple chose the Mandarin Oriental in Bodrum—a beautiful beach city on Turkey’s southwest coast.
and an itinerary that spanned four days and included a welcome party on Thursday, the Mendhi on Friday morning, a Sangeet on Friday evening, the Vidhi/Haldi in the morning on Saturday, followed by a Turkish Night that evening, and finally, on Sunday, the wedding ceremony, with a reception and after-party later that night.
For her wedding wardrobe, Anisha collaborated with the Indian designer Tarun Tahiliani and Syrian designer Rami Al Ali. “With Tarun, I wanted a classic yet modern look, which I think they nailed,” she says. “We went back and forth for months FaceTiming with Tarun and his team ideating on panels and different beadwork to create the perfect wedding day look.”
On the first night of the wedding weekend, Anisha wanted to wear something that would flow with the breeze and stand out against the green decor. “This was definitely one of my favorite fashion moments from the weekend,” Anisha says. “The balance of gold and green and the structure and flow gave off that old Hollywood glamor feel.” For the events of the final evening, however, Anisha wanted to go all out, deciding to wear three different dresses by Rami Al Ali.
