Liberals promise millions more for Catholic schools and a 'back to basics' focus on education

But Liberal education spokeswoman Elizabeth Lee said the party would achieve a renewed focus on literacy and numeracy in Canberra without dropping subjects. The Canberra Liberals have often argued that the ACT also underperforms in NAPLAN relative to its social advantages. "I'm not a teacher, that's why we'll be working with teachers who are the experts in the classroom about how they will deliver it," she said.
