'Legend' Pete was a contestant on the show recently
During a recent episode of the ITV hit quiz show Bradley Walsh was back at his hosting the show as contestants Tom, Estelle, Jessica and Pete all worked together to try and beat the chaser and take home a sum of money.
Fans took to social media to share their tributes as they said he had tragically died and they recognised the "legend". @Nell496 Tweeted: “Since the show was recorded Pete died in a house fire. RIP. #TheChase.” While @JSapier added: “#TheChase Poor fella. RIP Pete. He didn’t even get to see this before his tragic death. His family should be proud though.”While @liadaksy added: “#TheChase @ITVX it’s a bit crap if you guys for not including a short RIP tribute for Pete………..shame.” As well as the viewer's responses, chaser Paul also shared his tributes online. He wrote: "Saddened to hear that Pete from today’s Chase has since passed away in horrible circumstances.
