Netflix’s The Crown has paused filming, in a mark of respect to Queen Elizabeth II, following her death yesterday.
The publication reported, via Twitter: ‘Today a scene from The Crown, the Netflix series, was going to be shot in the Jardinets de Garcia.’
The report continued: ‘It has been suspended for the death of Elizabeth II. There are currently operators watching the sets.’Princess DianaHer partner, Dodi Fayed, and the driver of the Mercedes-Benz W140, Henri Paul, were pronounced dead at the scene. Stephen Daldry, who has directed various episodes of The Crown, previously opened up about what would happen in the instance of the Queen’s death. He said: ‘None of us know when that time will come but it would be right and proper to show respect to the Queen. It would be a simple tribute and a mark of respect.
