Capcom and GOG unexpectedly dropped a PC port of the original 1996 Resident Evil game with the other two entries in the trilogy set to release by the end of the year. Unfortunately, it has been revealed that the upcoming Resident Evil 2 port is based on the Windows 98 version of the game, widely considered to be the worst PC port. Image via Capcom YouTuber TheSphereHunter said in a video that she had the opportunity to play the first two entries in the trilogy before the release on GOG.
