Minister for Indigenous Australians Linda Burney says the Voice to Parliament is about ensuring. Indigenous people have a say on parliamentary issues and receive recognition within the constitution.

“It’s really about two things; it’s about making sure that aboriginal people have a say on issues that affect aboriginal people within the parliament by way of legislation,” Ms Burney told Sky News Australia.
