The Australian’s Gerard Henderson says Daniel Andrews is allegedly responsible for the decision in 2009 to stop testing for the flu outbreak along with the lack of investment in testing infrastructure.

The ABC’s Dr Norman Swan said on Tuesday, in 2009 during the swine flu pandemic, Victoria “stopped testing because their public health system couldn’t cope with it, and not a lot was invested after that”. Mr Henderson told Sky News host Andrew Bolt, Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews was the health minister for three years during that time, but nobody in the media has reported it.

Dan Andrews is an 'economic bushranger': Joyce | Sky News AustraliaDan Andrews is an 'economic bushranger': Joyce | Sky News AustraliaNationals MP Barnaby Joyce has labelled Victoria Premier Daniel Andrews an 'economic bushranger' following the unveiling of his lockdown recovery roadmap.\n\nMr Joyce told Sky News 'Victoria is known for its bushrangers', such as Ned Kelly and the Glen Rowan Hotel and now it had Daniel Andrews who he said was 'one of the great economic bushrangers of the modern era'.\n\nUnder the rules, rural and regional Victoria would not be able to move to the third stage of reopening - including patrons being allowed to sit at restaurants - until it achieved an average of fewer than five new cases a day and zero cases of unknown origin over a two week period.\n\n'It's illogical. If a place hasn't got coronavirus and you want to travel to another place that's not got coronavirus, it's not affected by an arbitrary line on a map called a state border,' Mr Joyce said.\n\nBeef it Up Queensland's Anita Donlan said 'rural Victoria must be treated differently' from cities and major centres.\n\nImage: News Corp Australia

The bill shouldn’t be coming to Canberra and all Australian taxpayers”.\n\nImage: Getty
