NSW Chief Health Officer Kerry Chant advocates for more Pfizer to be made available in Sydney's hotspots as some GPs say Pfizer distribution has not prioritised the areas worst affected by the outbreak.

Some GPs say there is not enough transparency around how the Pfizer vaccine is being allocated and distributed among doctors' clinics. The NSW Chief Health Officer has advocated for more Pfizer to be distributed in western Sydney hotspots

They are worried it means the sought-after jab is not going where it is needed most, such as the current COVID-19 hotspots in western Sydney. Doctor Lim said he knows of other GPs in the area who have received large amounts of vaccines and some who can not get any. Charlotte Hespe, NSW/ACT chair of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners ,said it was unclear how certain clinics were being prioritised.

The current delta outbreak wreaking havoc across Sydney began in the eastern suburbs over a month ago. She said she started looking around on the COVID availability checker to see where she could send her patients to get the Pfizer vaccine.
